Need a Dentist Today? Walk-Ins Are Always Welcome
Cannot get an appointment with your regular dentist? No problem. Our practice welcomes walk-in patients 7 days a week. No referral needed, no long waits. Just come in and we will take care of you.
Same-Day Dental Care Without the Runaround
There is a particular kind of frustration that comes with needing a dentist today and being told the first opening is next Thursday. Pain does not keep office hours, and a cracked tooth or a lost filling does not politely wait for a slot to free up. Our practice was built for exactly those moments, which is why we keep the door open to walk-in patients every single day of the week, weekends and holidays included.
You do not need a referral, you do not need to already be a patient here, and you do not need to navigate a phone tree to prove your problem is serious enough. If you are hurting, or something has broken, or you have taken a knock to the mouth, you are welcome to come straight in during opening hours. We will assess you quickly, figure out what is going on, and in most cases treat it the same visit so you can get on with your day.
What to Expect as a Walk-In
Walk In
Arrive at our practice during opening hours. No appointment necessary. Our reception team will greet you and begin the intake process immediately.
Quick Assessment
A member of our clinical team will assess your condition promptly, take any necessary X-rays, and determine the urgency of your situation.
Same-Day Treatment
Once we have diagnosed the issue, we will discuss your treatment options and proceed with care on the same visit whenever possible.
Why Not Just Call Your Regular Dentist?
Your regular dentist is wonderful for check-ups and planned work, but most general practices are not set up to drop everything and see an emergency the same hour. Their days are booked with scheduled appointments weeks in advance, and squeezing in an urgent case means pushing someone else back. So the honest reality is that even a great family dentist often cannot see you today, and almost never in the evening or on a weekend.
That is the gap we fill. Because emergencies are our entire focus, our schedule is deliberately built with room for the unexpected. When you call or walk in, you are not an interruption to the day, you are the reason we are here. For a lot of our patients, we are the place they come when their own dentist said to try the ER or wait until Monday, and we are glad to be that option.
Seeing us does not mean leaving your regular dentist, either. We handle the urgent problem, get you out of pain, and send you back to your own dentist for ongoing care with a clear note of what we did. Think of us as the after-hours and same-day backstop for the whole community, not a replacement for the relationship you already have.
Conditions We Treat Same-Day
Our Walk-In Policy
We understand that dental problems rarely happen at convenient times. That is why we maintain an open-door policy for walk-in patients every day of the week, including weekends and public holidays.
While appointments are available and can help reduce your wait time, they are not required. If you are experiencing dental pain or have suffered an injury, simply come to our practice during opening hours (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM) and our team will assess you promptly.
We recommend calling ahead on 775-204-3607 whenever possible. This allows us to prepare for your visit, gather any necessary information in advance, and give you an estimated wait time so you can plan accordingly.
A quick call before you set off also lets us give you first-aid guidance for the drive in, which can genuinely change the outcome for something like a knocked-out tooth or heavy bleeding. And if your situation turns out to be one of the rare cases that belongs at a hospital first, such as a possible broken jaw or difficulty breathing, we will tell you that honestly rather than have you drive to the wrong place.
Insurance, Cost, and What to Bring
Being a walk-in does not change how we handle insurance or cost. We accept most major dental plans, can bill your insurer directly in many cases, and take all major cards. For bigger treatments we offer financing that spreads the cost over time. As always, you hear the price and your options before any treatment starts, so there are no surprises waiting on the bill.
To make your visit as smooth as possible, bring a photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications you take. If a crown or a piece of a tooth has come off, pop it in a clean container and bring it with you, because we can sometimes re-use it. And if the emergency involves a knocked-out tooth, bring the tooth kept moist in milk or saliva rather than wrapped in a dry tissue.
If you are new to us, there is nothing to prepare in advance. We gather what we need when you arrive, and we keep the paperwork light so that treatment, not form-filling, is what fills your visit. The whole point of a walk-in service is to remove the barriers between you and relief, and that includes the administrative ones.
Our Hours and the Best Times to Come In
We are open from eight in the morning until eight at night, seven days a week, which covers the evenings and weekends when most other offices have long since locked up. If you are in serious pain, do not try to time your visit perfectly. Just come in, because getting seen matters far more than finding the quietest slot. We will always prioritise genuine emergencies over routine walk-ins.
That said, if your situation is uncomfortable but not frantic, a little timing can shorten your wait. Mid-morning on a weekday tends to be calmer than the after-work rush, and the first hour after we open is often the quietest of all. Weekends are busier, since that is when most people find themselves without their regular dentist, so expect a slightly longer wait on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
Whenever you come, a quick phone call ahead lets us tell you honestly how busy we are right now and roughly how long you might wait. It also means we can have your paperwork and, where relevant, a treatment room ready before you even arrive. The combination of long daily hours and a true open-door policy is the whole reason this service exists, so use it whenever you need it.
Bringing a Child in as a Walk-In
Children have a talent for dental mishaps at the least convenient moments, usually on a weekend or an evening when their own dentist is closed. A tooth knocked loose on the playground, a chip from a fall, a sudden toothache that turns a cheerful kid miserable within an hour. You are welcome to walk straight in with a child, and we see young patients every day, so a nervous little one is nothing new to us.
We keep the tone calm and the language simple, and we let children take things at a pace they can handle. A good first visit under difficult circumstances often shapes how a child feels about the dentist for years, so we take that responsibility seriously. If it helps your child settle, bring a favourite toy or blanket, and feel free to stay right beside them through the whole visit.
One important note for parents: a baby tooth that gets knocked out should not be pushed back in, because doing so can harm the adult tooth forming underneath. Even so, it is worth coming in so we can check for any damage to the gum or the neighbouring teeth. When in doubt, call us on the way and we will tell you exactly what to do before you arrive.
